Home

What a great weekend! I got a youth pass and were able to attend meet and greets with the bands in the youth tent. The Whosoevers were there along with Ryan and Sonny. Three bands I meet before that my children listen to remember me and gave me hugs and their phone numbers if they ever need me. Current Affair may be playing at our church for a youth conference this fall. I felt like a rock star! God is so good all the time and HE truly blessed us last weekend! If you have teens that love music, you need to take them to SWC to hear the Christian bands play and give their testimonies! You as a parent will be the coolest and your kiddos will be blessed!!!

Memorial Weekend

This past year went by really fast. Last year we were at Spirit West Coast and we are returning again this year. SWC is a Christian Weekend concert at the Delmar Horse racing fair grounds. There will be 6-7 stages for band performances, Veggie Tales Town, shopping, fair food and camping. Our camp site is right out side a cleaned horse stable that has lights and outlets. It is really nice to allow your teens to go anywhere in the fair grounds and know they are safe to roam. The concerts are great and very relaxing to sit at Jesus feet and worship! We are so excited to be going again this year. I am making sure all of my homework is done before I leave so I can really have a relaxing time..

Blogging

I really think I got the hang of blogging. It is not that time consuming and it has great benefits for communicating with parents and students away from school. The usual fear I have when trying something new is gone and I am confident to move forward with what I have to say. Blogging will be a part of  my classroom management and I look forward trying and experiencing new ways to use it!

Issues surrounding technology in the classroom

As a SPED student I am looking for ways for the students to be taught at different levels each day. Normally there is a pre-school, K-3, 4-6 and middle, then last is high school SPED classrooms. My  credential is for k-8th. I will have pre-readers up to proficient or above lesson planning each day.  If I am able to screen catch, video or podcast lessons a head of time, then is a student needs further instruction after the lesson they can go to an computer and open the recorded lesson. This will save me time going over and over a lesson with only a few students and be able to work with the other students in the classroom. This is exciting for me! Anymore ideas from anyone out there?

What to wtite, what to write?

I have never really had a problem finding words to say, but writing for this blog is a little different. I am having a difficult time finding a topic. So today my topic is, "No Topic." I feel and have empathy for students when they are told to write and know it will be published for others to read. In my private journal I write 6-10 pages in one setting. Not having a topic takes up a lot of time. I have been thinking about what to write for days now and what the theme of my blog will be. I have decided my theme is the process of finding a theme and the journey I will take to get there.
